Dan
Schwartz is an acclaimed finger-style guitarist
with a degree in Fine Arts Performance, American Finger-Style
Guitar from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and
won first place in the WI Conservatory of Music American Finger-Style
Guitar scholarship competition. In addition, through Stropes Editions,
Ltd. and the Milwaukee Foundation for Guitar Studies, he has been
at the forefront of finger-style guitar transcription, notation
and editing
with this work published in Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar and
Fingerstyle Guitar. He is a featured artist on Guitar-Fingerstyle
II and Masters of Acoustic Guitar compilation with Leo Kottke
and Billy McLaughlin, has performed with a Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis,
and Boyz II Men and tours extensively throughout the US. When
not touring, he resides in Minneapolis with his family.
